We extend a Christian welcome to all who visit with us this Lord’s Day. Visitors, please sign the guest register in the foyer. Also, please join us in the gymnasium following the morning service for a time of fellowship and coffee/cookies/punch.

Today, Rev. Brian Najapfour will preach for both services. The morning offering will be first for the General Fund and the second offering will be Audio Scripture Ministries. The main goal of Audio Scripture Ministries is to provide God’s Word in audio to those who cannot read. They partner with national pastors, Bible translators, missionaries, churches, and individuals to record and distribute God’s Word in audio to people all around the world waiting to listen. Our evening offering will be for our missionaries.

This evening we have the privilege of witnessing a Profession of Faith. We pray for the Lord’s blessing and leading in her life.

Next Sunday, Seminarian Paul Freswick will preach for both services. Next Sunday morning offerings will be first for General Fund and the second offering will be for our missionaries. Our Sunday evening offering next week will be for Christian Education.

From the Consistory____________________________________________________

In order to begin the search for our new pastor, the Council, at its August 8 meeting, approved a Search Committee mandate and appointed a committee composed of current and former office-bearers. The following men were appointed: Mark Van Solkema (Chair), Dave Kloosterman (Vice Chair), Jon Verduin (Clerk), Mark Kloosterman, Mike VanLaan, Mike Vos, and Bryan Snoeyink. The committee’s task will be to identify potential candidates and provide a short list of those candidates to the Council. At that point the Council will begin a deeper review of these men and select a candidate or candidates to present to the congregation for consideration.

The mandate for the Search Committee was attached to the Council Re-Cap placed in your mailboxes last week. As they begin their work, the Search Committee will be reaching out to the congregation for input. Please pray for the committee members as they undertake this important task.
