Rev. Michael G. Brown ~ Milan, Italy

Rev. Michael Brown is a missionary of the URCNA and pastor of Chiesa Riformata Filadelfia in Milan, Italy, where he has served since 2018. Before being called to the foreign mission field, Rev. Brown planted Christ URC in Santee, CA, where he served for 15 years. During that time, he became involved in mission work to Italy, a country with very little gospel witness. Less than 1% of Italy’s 60,000,000 inhabitants identify as Protestant. There are no Reformed or Presbyterian denominations. Rev. Brown’s mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ by preaching the gospel, leading worship services, teaching the catechism and Bible studies, caring for the flock, and evangelizing the lost. His long-term goal is to establish a confessional, Reformed denomination in Italy that is self-supporting, self-governing, and self-sustaining. To reach this goal, he is working with other Reformed and Presbiterian missionaries in Italy. Rev. Brown, his wife Janie and their son Iain are fluent in Italian and love the people and culture of Italy.
